FATRUN Run & Brunch is our flagship event and takes place on the last Sunday of every month.The event is a chance to bring together everyone in the Good Fats community, and involves everything we think you need to be a fit & healthy person :)
WHAT TO EXPECT FROM YOUR FIRST FATRUN RUN & BRUNCH...
HELLOS - We meet between 10.15 and 10.30am at The Old Dairy Cafe near Regents Park, which we're very lucky to have private access to. Bags and bike are locked up and we take a couple of team photos :)
RUN - After a quick coffee (for those nursing a hangover!), Matt (who is our nutritionist & also a North Face Mountain Athletics Coach) leads us over to Regents Park for some stretches and strengthening exercises designed to help improve our running posture and technique.
Once we're loosened up, we then go for a 8km jog (approx. 40 mins) taking in the trails of Regents Park and Primrose HIll before finishing up back at the cafe.
BRUNCH - While Matt leads a cool down and stretch off, the brunch is readied for us to tuck into. Every month, Matt prepares a menu based on nutritious foods that are in season, which we serve buffet style along with coffee and tea.
There's always plenty of food so you'll go home refueled and recharged for the rest of your Sunday. If you've got to nip off early, there are take away boxes :)
We tend to stick around at the cafe into the early afternoon so feel free to hang out with us. If you've got any specific questions on your running or nutrition we'd love to talk to you about those as well!
